Hélas! Neptune en est charmé.
La crainte que nous cause un dieu si redoutable,
Ttent toujours dans nos coeurs ce beau feu renfermé.
Quelles sont tes rigueurs, Amour impitoyable
Il est encor des maux pour un amant aimé.

DORIS.
Quoi! je vous trouve seul? Thétisattend Neptune;
Lorsque vient à ses yeux faire brillcr sa cour,
Il semble que d'un si beau jour,
L'éclat vous importune.
La retraite ne pta!t qu'à des cœurs pleins d'amour.
PÉME.
Moi, Nymphe, j'aimerais? Non, mon coeur est paisible,
Non, mon coeur n'est point enflammé.
