Ala, Giovanni Battista, gob. zu Monza im Mailândischen, war Organist an der Kirche Servita in Mailand. Die Herausgabe seiner Werke fâllt in die Zeit von 1617 bis 1634. Sie bestehen in geistlichen und weltlichen Gesângen in Mailand und Antwerpen erschienen, wie Fôtis sagt. Sie befanden sich einst in der Lissaboner Bibliothek. Aufgefunden habe ioh nar Lusclnia sacra: sive cantiones unius, 2. 3, 4 voc o. Bo. Antv. 1633 Phalese. ¥. [br. Mus: T. B. Bo. Enth. auoh Osge. von Monteperdi und G. Messaus.

Alain, Aleaims, siehe Groote. Alain (Alani), Johannes, Tonsetzer um 1450, von dem sioh ein Tonsatz in dem Codex Nr. 37 des Liceo in Bologna befindet: Sub Arturo plebs vallata plandat melos, 3 voo.
