Barrett, John, ein Schtiler Dr. Blow's, war um 1700 Musikmeistor am Christ-Hospital und Organist an der Kirche St. Mary-at-Hill in London. In D'Urfey's ,,Wit and Mirth" und in The Beggar's Oper finden sich Gesltage von ihm. Er komponierte auch die Ouverture zu Love's last shift 1696, xu Tunbridge Walks 1703 und Mary, Queen of Scots 1703 nebst einigen Gesangen dazu (Hawkins 4, 491. 5, 177. Grove). Nachweisen kann ich von seinen Kompositionen: A Psalm of Thanksgiving, to bo sung by the children of Gbrist's-Hospital, 1706. Lond., F. Leach. fol, [br. Mus. –'s Musiok in the comedy call'd the Ladys fine Aires, for V. & Hob. (first treble, 2. trebl. T. B. Lond.) fol. [br. Mus. Ms. 610 br. Mus., 1 Minuett.

Etienne- Dernard- Joseph, geb. ira Okt. 1749 ssu Valonciennes, hatte auf der Violine Pagin zum Lehrer und Philidor in der Komposition. Er ging nach Paris, trat als Vio.linist im Concert spirituel auf und gab 1801 mit Lafont im Saale Olympique oin Konzert.
