Les raisons que je viens d'énumérer sont pour la plupart
fondées, et je ne fais pas scrupule de conclure qu'on ferait
bien de mettre au protit de l'Empire l'heureuse conjoncture
actuelle de la triple alliance, non toutefois sans employer
certaines précautions, dont nous parlerons plus tard, afin
de ne pas nous compromettre mal i propos et de tomber
dans les extrêmes.

Il s'agit, avant tout, de savoir quel parti on pourra tirer
d'une semblable triple alliance, attendu que l'Empire, vu
la division actuelle des esprits, n'en voudra jamais faire
partie. Que si l'on voulait en faire une affaire particulière,
certains princes de l'Empire devraient le faire à part ou en
formant une société, après avoir délibéré avec Sa Majesté
